Full Moon Greetings, dear Friends❣️

Thank you for being here and for continuing to walk this path with me. Your presence, your comments, and your quiet reading mean a great deal to me.

When I sat down to write this post, I didn’t have a clear theme in mind, only a deep need to express how I’m feeling as I move through this season of change. Fall has always been my favorite time of year, yet this one feels especially poignant. What I wrote may seem a little scattered, much like my current mental state (ungrounded and windswept), but it is true to my intention here: to share honestly and deeply from the heart.

While I don’t personally celebrate Halloween, Samhain, or Día de los Muertos, I have always admired the ancient wisdom that lives within these traditions. Beneath the costumes and candy, they speak to the cycles of nature, the thinning of the veil, and our connection to those who came before us. I often feel disheartened by how easily our culture turns these sacred times into shopping opportunities, and how unfettered capitalism seems to strip meaning from what was once mystical. And yet, I find solace in remembering that these celebrations began as reverent acknowledgments of life, death, and renewal.

As you already know, I am a conscious observer of the natural world and well attuned to how I, and we collectively, respond to its rhythms. Everywhere I look, cycles are unfolding in a constant rhythm of expanding, contracting, birthing, dying, resting, and awakening. Some are visible, others hidden. But they are always happening, everywhere and all at once.

The seasons are our most generous teachers. They remind us that change is constant, that beauty exists even in decay, that rest is as sacred as growth. The cosmic intelligence that orchestrates all of this, especially the balance, the pattern, the timing, leaves me in awe.

Each fall, I feel the winds of change both literally and energetically. They unsettle me, tugging at my balance and stirring my mind. Over the years, I’ve learned that my medicine for this unsteadiness is to return to grounding practices, to simple ways to anchor my mind, body, and spirit as the external world begins to swirl around me.

Fall is also the season of my birth, and I feel it deeply in my bones. I find such comfort in the waning sunlight, the crisp air, and the shifting colors of the land. I love being outside on a sunny afternoon, watching the leaves dance and spiral to the ground, feeling the cool wind against my skin, and seeing the long shadows stretch beneath a low, golden sun. There’s magic in this liminal space, in this tender threshold between holding on and letting go.

And right now, I am craving rest. Deep, soul-level rest. The kind that invites restoration. As the nights grow longer and cooler, I feel the pull to slow down, to cozy up in flannel and soft slippers, to sip something warm, to let myself sleep early and dream long. After an active, high-energy summer, I’m ready for the rhythm of rest and reflection.

This season also brings a natural time of release and recalibration. With that energy, I’m preparing a shift in how I share my offerings with you. Starting this month, I am offering my full meditation practice library, hosted privately on YouTube, as part of my paid Substack subscription plan. This means that Tides of Being paid subscribers will have access to the entire meditation library, including all themed playlists on my YouTube channel.

This change will simplify everything for me and my work. There is a price increase for new paid subscribers to reflect the added value of this extensive library, but all current paid subscribers will continue at their current rate.

If you’re feeling the same call I am—to slow down, to rest, to ground, know that you are not alone. May this season offer you the rest you’ve been longing for and the spaciousness to dream again.

May we each find our way to stillness, may the long nights cradle our tired hearts, and may we be reminded that rest is not a retreat from life, but a return to it.

With love and gratitude,
Jennifer 💫💖💫

Micro Mindfulness Practice: Seasonal Pause 🍁

Pause to feel the season within and around you. Notice where your body and spirit are asking for rest, release, or renewal.

Take a slow, steady breath in through your nose, and let it gently flow out through your mouth.

Feel the support beneath you—your chair, the floor, the earth herself, holding you with quiet strength.

Notice the subtle shifts of the season: the cooling air, the long shadows, the muted hum of life slowing down.

Allow your body to mirror the rhythm of nature—soften, release, ground.

With each inhale, invite in calm and presence.

With each exhale, release the effort of the day.

Rest your attention on your heart.

Ask softly: What am I ready to release?

Then, What wants to rest within me now?

There’s no need to rush toward answers. Simply breathe and feel your belonging in this moment—rooted, present, and held by the turning of the Earth.

When you’re ready, take one final deep breath.

Offer gratitude for this pause, and carry a thread of stillness with you into whatever comes next.

Beaver Full moon affirmations: I root myself in the wisdom of the Earth. I honor the beauty of slowing down and trust that stillness is fertile ground for all that is becoming. I allow myself to rest deeply, knowing that rest is not idleness but a sacred act of renewal. I am safe to soften, to savor, and to simply be. I release the need to push or prove and welcome a rhythm that nourishes my body and steadies my spirit.
