Finding steadiness in the cosmic cycles 🌌

Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Virgo 🌕 ♍
Sun in Pisces 🌞 ♓

Eclipse Greetings, dear Friends❣️

I hope this note finds you somewhere in a quiet pocket of your day, perhaps between obligations, perhaps in the early light or the hush of evening. I’m grateful you are here, reading, reflecting, breathing alongside me in this moment.

Lately, more than ever, I find myself looking to the stars for guidance and answers. I imagine our tiny planet of molten rock, more beautiful than ever, floating and rotating through the spiral of the Milky Way, in relationship with countless other celestial bodies, all dancing in sync with the gravity of our life-giving star that holds it together. It’s mind-bending and nearly impossible to reconcile the immensity of our solar system, let alone the vastness of the Universe.

Right now, I lean into the steadiness and reliability of this grand miracle, and into the fact that something so intricate and vast continues to hold together, especially when everything here on Earth feels fragile and fleeting. These times we are witnessing and living through are precisely why humanity has always turned to myth and the otherworldly to help explain the turbulence of the material world.

There has to be a reason for all of this. There has to be a reason we are here, right now, experiencing this moment together. A purpose. Right? How do we arrive where we are meant to go without first moving through this moment — personally and collectively? And where are we going? Where will this moment take us? Can we even imagine what the future holds, given what we are facing now?

Since I wrote to you two weeks ago, on the solar eclipse in Aquarius, we have seen consequences unfold at a scale and pace that is difficult to comprehend. In the United States, jobs are being shed by the tens of thousands each week due to AI disruption and economic uncertainty. The Epstein files have exposed even more about a global ring of elite billionaires behaving in ways that are predatory, insidious, and seemingly without consequence. And over the weekend, the United States and Israel initiated yet another war for regime change with Iran. For what? So a handful of powerful men can cling to dominance while destabilizing the globe? And these madmen think they deserve the Nobel Prize for peace? Bonkers!

The accelerating pace of it all feels exhausting and unsustainable. And yet, we must continue on with our daily lives, figuring out how to navigate the chaos. The never-ending engine of unfettered capitalism compels us to stay on the hamster wheel so we can pay our bills. We come home depleted and numb ourselves in front of screens. Those in power benefit from our exhaustion. They benefit when we disengage.

History has shown us this pattern before. The world has dealt with tyrants, and the consequences have been catastrophic. Do we have the stomach to repeat it? Or can the sane majority rely on one another to pull together and resist?

Every day, I return to the tools I have gathered over a lifetime to calm my nervous system. Every day is an invitation, sometimes a battle,  to remember to ground, to connect with my body, to greet the sunrise with hope, and to be a force for good. I try to nurture my relationships, be of service, and connect with the Earth, remembering that her cycles offer stability. The sunrise and moonrise remain faithful. The seasons continue their turning. My body participates in these rhythms, part of the great mystery and wonder of existence.

I am grateful for the knowledge and practices that remind me of this interconnectedness. I am one with every living thing in the Universe. And I am a better human when I remember and embody that truth.

This is not meant to be a rant. Sometimes I feel like a broken record, repeating these reminders every time I write to you. The truth is that it is simply me trying to make sense of it all. We all turn toward something to cope, to contextualize, to metabolize the moment. For me, it is grounding in natural cycles, remembering my place in the vastness, and writing these notes to you.

May we remember our place among the stars and our responsibility to one another here on Earth. May our nervous systems find steadiness, clarity guide our actions, and compassion shape our collective future. And may we move through this moment together with courage and love.

Soulfully yours,
Jennifer 💫💖💫

Two-Minute Nervous System Reset 😮‍💨

Begin by finding a comfortable position, either seated or lying down. Let your body rest firmly on the ground. If it feels safe, softly close your eyes or lower your gaze.

Take a slow breath in through your nose for a count of four…
1… 2… 3… 4…

Pause gently at the top.

Now exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of six…
1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6…

Again, inhale for four…
and exhale for six.

Let your exhale be slightly longer than your inhale. This signals safety to your nervous system.

Now bring one hand to your chest. Notice the warmth of your own touch. Notice the rise and fall of your chest beneath your palm. You don’t need to change anything — just feel.

Gently settle your body into the ground and imagine roots growing downward, steady and strong. The Earth beneath you is solid. You are connected and supported.

Bring awareness to your shoulders. Let them soften and relax. Soften your scalp and the expression on your face.

Take one more slow breath in…
and a long, steady breath out.

Silently say to yourself:
In this moment, I am safe.
In this moment, I can soften.

Feel the steadiness of your breath. Feel your body here. Present. Supported.

When you’re ready, gently blink your eyes open, carrying this small pocket of calm with you into the rest of your day.
