THIS PRACTICE IS FOR EVERYONE AND IS SO NEEDED IF YOU LEAD A BUSY AND STRESSFUL LIFE.

Lie down, get comfy and find the deepest state of relaxation you’ll ever know!! Yoga Nidra, which is translated as yogic sleep, is a deep relaxation practice and can be extremely profound for many practitioners. You’re guided into state of deep relaxation while remaining fully conscious and awake. The practice includes breath awareness, a journey of consciousness through the physical body, and guided visualization.

Show notes and resources:

-Practice on a soft surface for comfort.  Cover the length of your mat with a blanket if practicing on a hard floor.

-Cover the body with a blanket if the room is chilly.  The body will cool during the practice so have a blanket nearby just in case.

-Practice in the evening before bed to help you fall asleep.  Practice in the mid-day for an energy boost, instead of coffee or sugar.

-Regular practice of yoga nidra has proven to improve brain function and creativity, relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression, and relieve physical pain in the body.

-It is an ideal practice for all levels of practitioners and is a wonderful compliment to more physical yoga practices.

-Closing music is “Infinite Universe” by Beautiful Chorus
